The role of Oracle applications changed our way of business to a certain extent. It brought a new perspective on our approach to business. We have been using Oracle e-Business Suite since January 2006 actively in almost all our processes. For some of the other processes, we use 3rd party software via the Oracle database.
We decided to take the transition to “Exadata Cloud at Customer” because we were using an old hardware and we needed a read/write performance. We also wanted to benefit from the advantages to be offered with hardware, database, and application layers provided by one single vendor. “Exadata Cloud at Customer” would offer an exact solution to our I/O problem at the time. The most important motive behind making this decision was that the infrastructure was solid and problem-free and that we could spend our time on operations with much higher added value, such as application development, rather than on infrastructure. The reason for our transition to “Exadata Cloud at Customer” was not hardware, but rather that the database license management was made into one single package. As renting was a more affordable option, that was what we decided and we are glad we did.
We implemented the transition project with the Oracle ACS team and Partnera DBA team. The most important reason for choosing Partnera was that the Partnera team worked with us on our transition to Exadata, thus ensuring a smooth transition, and also that the team knew us very well.

We have almost three and a half years until our renting period for Oracle “Exadata Cloud at Customer” expires. Since I am not keen on leaving my business until the very last minute, we will start assessing what we can do with the current technologies of “Exadata Cloud at Customer” or Oracle in two years.
We are leading the game in terms of infrastrure, but we surely need to do so in the application, as well. We are currently working on version update project in the Oracle EBS layer. We will commence this project also with Partnera in the most available time for our company. We are capable of implementing many projects by our own resources in the application layer. We rely on Partnera when we fall short. As we pulled off many operations together before, we are sure that we will get through many others in the future together.
